COM07 - Lab: Boot Camp for Developers Using Adobe AIR for BlackBerry PlayBook Tablet Apps
Adobe® technical wizards Renaun Erickson and Duane Nickull will provide a hands-on, practical developer lab focusing on using Adobe® AIR® to build apps for the BlackBerry® PlayBook™ tablet. Attendees will build several mobile applications, learn architectural best practices and walk through a deployment process. The boot camp will cover as much functionality as possible, including microphone access, camera, remote data and basic application navigation. Attendees will leave with completed applications plus source code and tips on the best resources.
DEV21 - Creating a UI using the BlackBerry Tablet OS SDK for Adobe AIR
This session demonstrates how to use the native UI components in the BlackBerry® Tablet OS SDK for Adobe® AIR®. This is a great opportunity to learn technical skills such as: creating and placing UI components using containers and spacers, using containers to manage orientation changes, customizing the look of components, creating basic animations and much more. Learn the basic tools and then apply those skills to a complex UI.
DEV32 - Profiling your AIR Application for Better Performance
Profiling helps you identify performance bottlenecks and memory leaks in your applications. This session covers how to profile a highly optimized and fine tuned Adobe® AIR application created using Adobe® Flash® Builder. We’ll look at using tooling and plug-ins to their maximum potential so application runs as smoothly as possible and deliver the best user experience.
